　　Should kids follow their parents" advice or not? Some professors from Peking University believethat only following the advice of parents can enable kids to avoid all kinds of risks in theirlifetimes. However, others hold an adverse perspective. Personally, it depends on differentsituations, not just obeying or disobeying.

 

　　When it comes to obeying parents" advice, it is easy for kids to avoid all kinds of risks in society.Because their parents have full awareness of social experience which helps them to tell thedifference between benefits and drawbacks. On the other hand, respecting others, no matterwhether they arc your parents or not, is a basic moral principle for an educated person. Therefore,they should follow the advice of their parents first; then they could use their own judgments tochoose their ways.

　　However, without frustration, one can never grow up. So it is important for kids to experiencethings by themselves, let alone experience from parents cannot be right. In other words,with the development of society, the experience used in the past may not work ideally nowadays.Ten years ago, most people believed that going to university is an access to an ideal job.However, now the unemployment of college students has become a serious social problem. Moreimportantly, one person should have one"s unique personality through his own growing up.

　　In summary, respecting parents is a symbol of one"s self-quality. Nevertheless, whether weshould follow or disobey depends on the situation individually.

　　然而，没有遭遇挫折，一个人无法成长。因此。对于孩子而言，亲身经历一些事是很重要的。更不必说，来自父母亲的经验不是正确。换言之，随着社会的发展，过去的经验现在可能并不完全适用了。10年前。多数人认为上大学就能找到好工作。然而。现如今，大学生无法就业已成为严重的社会问题。更重要的是。在成长过程中，每个人都应有自己独特的人格。

　　总之，尊敬父母是个人修养的一种表现。但是。我们是否听从父母的安排要视情况而定。
